Our Top 5 Things to AVOID Doing After An Adjustment
We always tell you the things to do after you get adjusted, Move your body, drink water and stretch just to name a few! But what we often don't talk about is the things that we would love for you to avoid after your have your adjustment!
So here they are!
DON’T PUT A BAG ON ONE SHOULDER
Ideally use a backpack where the weight is distributed over both your shoulders evenly. If this isn't an option (and maybe that is because you just love your handbag!) There are still a few things to consider. The biggest one being that you should alternate up the side you carry it on, swap from left to right so its not always on one side. Also, consider carrying it in your hand, versus on your shoulder! A cross body bag can also make a difference and help even it out.
AVOID YOUR PHONE
Need to get on your phone? Try to do it with good posture! Keep it held at eye height. Don't hunch over and lean down. Or just avoid getting on it for a few hours, even better!
DON’T HUNCH OVER
Check your posture, which you should be doing regularly during the day. Shoulders back and down. Head up. Ears in line with your shoulders. Reset your posture regularly during the day
DON’T SIT STILL
Movement is medicine. Keep up and moving as much as you can after your adjustment. Even if it is some shoulder rolls when you get back to your desk.
DON’T EAT SUGAR FILLED FOODS OR DRINK SUGAR FILLED DRINKS
These can cause inflammation in your body. Drink some water, and eat good nutritious healthy food.
AVOID LIFTING HEAVY OR WITH POOR POSTURE
If you need to lift heavy items, please make sure you do it with good posture, bend your knee, keep your back straight and engage your core.
So really - the things that we would like you to avoid after your adjustments are simply the opposite of what we tell you to do after an adjustment.
